The pursuit of education, certification, and licensure continued. Don’t get me wrong, I value all of that, yet my true shift occurred through a series of mind-blowing events that led me to create Mobile Brain Repair.

In mid-2019, I got divorced after a 16-year marriage. At 50 years old and in my final year of graduate school, I saw 2020 as the year of “Clear Vision,” and it certainly began that way. I was at the top of my class and thriving as I partnered with horses serving people. However, as March approached, the pandemic began to unravel the world, but I remained optimistic. Then, on March 10th, I received a call that my daughter Ashley had been found dead. The sounds that came out of me were nothing short of alien. The sadness, pain, and heartache were overwhelming, but perhaps the worst part was the isolation. No family, no closure—just me and my mind.
Months went by, and there were many times when I wondered, “What’s the point of this life?” I even welcomed my end, as hard as that is to admit. Despite this, I graduated and started serving many individuals and groups via Zoom, one of the blessings that came from the world shutting down. My creativity and skills grew online as I adapted to this new way of serving. Although grateful for the opportunities that arose, I remained uninspired to move forward.

A colleague told me about a new way of healing she was involved in and encouraged me to check it out. Reluctantly, I attended a meeting for Rapid Resolution Therapy® (RRT). I love to learn and train, but at that point in my life, it was the last thing on my mind. My colleague knew something I didn’t though. So, I went to the Solutions® meeting and watched Dr. Jon Connelly, the creator of RRT®, meet with person after person, each one claiming they felt “clear” of what was troubling them after their conversations. He talked a lot, and at times I felt insulted by what he was saying, yet strangely, I agreed.

Two hours later, he began talking about how to learn more by paying, and at that moment, my radar went up. I thought, “Okay, it’s about money.” I suspected there were shills in the audience, and he had crafted an elaborate plan for a payday. I told my colleague I wasn’t interested. She asked if I had raised my hand and met with him, which I hadn’t. She wasn’t taking no for an answer, so I went to another meeting two weeks later. I sat through the whole thing again with my virtual hand raised the entire time. Finally, in the last 10 minutes, he called on me. I thought, “What is this guy going to do for me in 10 minutes?”

He asked me what I wanted to achieve, and I told him about Ashley, the guilt, and the lack of living I was experiencing. In ten minutes, he cleared it. I had no idea what happened in that conversation that shifted my mind (today I understand it), but from that moment, it has been my mission to learn and heal people with the power of one conversation, just as Dr. Connelly did for me.

Mobile Brain Repair was created after meeting with a friend who was feeling stuck. I love traveling around in my RV, Lula, with my canine sidekick, Be. We met in a park to clear up some data glitches, but Mother Nature had other plans. Tropical force winds and sideways rain forced us to relocate inside my RV.

We went through the process in about an hour and a half. She looked at me and said, “What the @#$$ just happened?” I asked her to try to recall the thing that was troubling her, but she couldn’t. Later that evening, she texted me, saying, “I think you have something really cool to share with the world,” and suggested the name Mobile Brain Repair! We began our collaboration, and now you are witnessing its birth! Stay tuned as we create a group of practitioners to serve, as well as a community focused on healing.
